Privacy-first approach
We built RiseVerse with privacy in mind from day one. This policy explains how we handle your personal information at https://riseverse.com. By using RiseVerse, you agree to the practices described here. If you have concerns, please reach out before using our services.
1. Information we collect
We only collect information necessary to provide and improve RiseVerse. This includes information you provide directly and information collected automatically when you use our platform.
When you sign up, you provide us with:
- Your email address
- If using Google, Apple, or Twitter sign-in: your name and profile picture from those services
- Payment information processed securely through Stripe - we never see your card details
- Bookmarks and folders you organize
Information we collect automatically includes:
- IP address and device information for security alerts when someone accesses your account from a new location
- Browser type to ensure compatibility
- Component copy events to understand feature usage
We never collect more than necessary. Every piece of data serves a specific purpose in improving your experience.
2. How we use your information
We use your information to provide, maintain, and improve RiseVerse. This includes creating and managing your account, processing payments, saving your preferences, and providing customer support. We analyze usage patterns to fix bugs, develop new features, and prevent abuse.
We'll communicate with you for account notifications, support responses, and product updates. Marketing emails are optional - you can unsubscribe anytime. Security alerts are mandatory to protect your account.
We use your IP address and device information to detect unusual login activity and notify you when someone accesses your account from a new location.
We don't use your content to train AI models or make automated decisions that significantly affect you. Your work remains yours.
We only process your data when we have a valid legal reason: to fulfill our service agreement with you, keep the platform secure and prevent fraud, comply with legal requirements, or when you've given us permission for things like marketing.
3. Who we share data with
We never sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own purposes. Your data stays within RiseVerse's control.
We work with carefully selected service providers who process data solely on our behalf and under our instructions. They help us run RiseVerse but never have independent access to your information:
- Stripe for payment processing - we never see your credit card details
- Supabase for database infrastructure, self-hosted on our servers in Germany with encryption at rest
- Resend for all authentication emails (verify email, password reset) and future marketing
- Crisp for customer support to maintain your history and help you better
- Hetzner for hosting. Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany. Servers located in the EU
These providers process data only on our behalf. While our team can access account data for support when you request help, all passwords are encrypted and we cannot see them. We don't share data with advertisers or use your content for AI training.
4. How long we keep your data
Your data is stored in secure data centers in Germany, EU. All processing happens within the European Union.
We keep different types of data for different periods:
- Account data: Until you delete your account
- Payment records: Kept securely in Stripe for tax and legal compliance
- Support conversations: Kept in Crisp to maintain your support history
- Deleted accounts: Permanently removed within 30 days
When you delete your account, we immediately begin the removal process. Some data may persist in backups for up to 30 days before complete deletion.
5. Your rights
You have control over your personal information. You can access, correct, export, or delete your data at any time. You can opt out of marketing emails and disable analytics tracking. These rights apply to all users regardless of location.
If you're in Europe or California, you have additional privacy rights under GDPR and CCPA respectively. These include data portability, the right to be forgotten, and protection against discrimination for exercising your rights.
We don't sell your personal information or share it for targeted advertising. To exercise any privacy right, email privacy@riseverse.com.
6. Security measures
We take security seriously and use industry-standard measures to protect your data.
Our security measures include:
- Encrypted connections when data travels
- Encrypted storage for sensitive data
- Regular security testing
- Secure password protection
- Daily encrypted backups
- Strict access controls
If your data is ever compromised, we'll notify affected users promptly and explain what happened and how we're addressing it.
While no system is 100% secure, we continuously work to protect your data. If you discover a security issue, please report it immediately to security@riseverse.com.
7. Cookies & tracking
We use cookies to keep you logged in, remember your preferences, and understand how you use RiseVerse.
Types of cookies we use:
- Essential cookies to keep you logged in
- Preference cookies to remember your settings
- No advertising or tracking cookies
You can manage cookies in your browser settings. We respect Do Not Track signals.

8. Children's privacy
RiseVerse is designed for professionals and is not intended for children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you're a parent and believe your child has provided information to us, please contact privacy@riseverse.com for immediate removal.
9. Data transfers
As a French company, we self-host our entire infrastructure on servers we control in Germany. Both our application and database run on Hetzner servers in the EU. Your data never leaves our infrastructure except when using third-party services like Stripe for payments or Resend for emails.
For any service providers outside the EU, we ensure EU-approved safeguards (Standard Contractual Clauses) are in place. Your data receives the same level of protection regardless of where it's processed.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy as our service evolves or legal requirements change. Significant changes will be communicated via email at least 30 days before taking effect. Minor clarifications may be made without notice. The updated date at the top shows when this policy was last modified.
11. Dispute resolution
This policy is governed by French law. Any privacy disputes will be resolved in French courts, specifically in Paris jurisdiction. We prefer to resolve issues amicably through direct communication first.
For privacy-specific matters, contact us at privacy@riseverse.combefore pursuing legal action. EU residents may also lodge complaints with their local supervisory authority.
